Best suited for those who need:	High volume; greatest flexibility; best data access performance; total control
Limitations:	With the flexibility in configuration offered in dedicated hosting, there are no limitations for your Microsoft platform project.

	Advanced Infrastructure (AI) Hosting
Key Characteristics:	A cluster of powerful systems utilizing VMWare’s VI3 Enterprise to provide isolated environments for each customer, configured to maximize efficiency and allow resource bursting on demand. Processors, storage, networking, and power are all redundant, and the solution allows for zero downtime hardware maintenance.
Best suited for those who need:	A high-performing solution with savings due to optimal resource leverage and efficiency; protection from degradations due to resource contention, maintenance, or failure; more emphasis on online response time than on intensive disk access.
Limitations:	Not recommended for large highly transactional, or continuous high throughput, data applications.

	Webfarm Hosting
Key Characteristics:	Redundant shared systems, managed by a redundant load-balancing front end, accessing RAID storage that is mirrored. Note that a Dedicated environment may be created using webfarm technologies as well.
Best suited for those who need:	High availability; predictable performance; shared webfarm offers lower cost than a dedicated plan.
Limitations:	Not recommended for large highly transactional, or continuous high throughput, data applications.  For shared webfarm, shared access to data storage may not be adequate for highly data-intensive applications; shared operating environment limits range of applications that can be run.

	Virtual Server Hosting
Key Characteristics:	Customers share the hardware resources of the server, but each has its own operating system. This provides the application flexibility of a dedicated solution with the cost savings of a shared environment.
Best suited for those who need:	The flexibility in application choice of a dedicated solution but the relatively lower resource utilization of a shared environment.
Limitations:	An event such as maintenance affecting the operating system affects all customers. Shared access to data storage may not be adequate for highly data-intensive applications.

	Shared Hosting
Key Characteristics:	Customers share the hardware and operating system environment.
Best suited for those who need:	A high-performing solution with cost savings from a shared environment; protection from degradations due to resource contention, maintenance, or failure; more emphasis on online response time than on intensive disk access.
Limitations:	Only HTML, Classic ASP, or ASP.NET applications can be run. A single IP address. An event such as maintenance affecting the operating system affects all customers.

SourceGear Vault
As a specialized service, ORCS Web hosts SourceGear Vault to provide a version control system for Windows developers. It is built entirely on the .NET framework, using Microsoft SQL Server for repository storage. This focused solution is powerful, progressive, and inexpensive.
